NOTICE TO ALL PERMISSION TO OCCUPY (PTO) HOLDERS ON INGONYAMA TRUST LAND All people, companies and other entities holding land rights on Ingonyama Trust land in terms of the Permission to Occupy (PTO) are hereby invited to approach the Ingonyama Trust Board (ITB) with a view of upgrading these PTO`s into long term leases in line with Ingonyama Trust Board Tenure Policy. The process involves resurvey of each site, preparation of a long term lease and the registration thereof. As such there are costs associated with this exercise. NOTICE TO ALL GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES AND RESIDENTS RESIDING ON LAND UNDER TRADITIONAL LEADERSHIP ON INGONYAMA TRUST LAND Government employees from various government departments as well as residents residing on Ingonyama Trust land under the leadership of AMAKHOSI are advised and invited to contact their respective Traditional Council Courts or Ingonyama Trust Board regarding documents evidencing their rural residence status. These documents are ordinarily required when one registers to vote, opens a bank account, buying a cell phone or as proof to the employer that the individual concerned does indeed reside in a rural area (to those who qualify for rural allowance). For these documents to be issued, a survey of the site / homestead in which the individual resides in will have to be done by or at the instance of the ITB. There are incidental costs attached to the exercise. The process has been prompted by various legal developments as we as various disputes among the citizens relating to land ownership and boundaries. PROJECT LOCATION and DESCRIPTION The City of uMhlathuze proposes an extension to the existing Aquadene suburb to provide affordable government housing. The development (hereafter referred to as Aquadene Phase 2 Development) will make a significant contribution to alleviating the current low to middle income housing backlog experienced within the boundaries of the uMhlathuze. The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) approval for internal services and top structures was obtained in 2015, and did not include bulk services in the scope. Since then, the bulk stormwater infrastructure designs have been completed. This project therefore entails environmental services for the bulk stormwater services for stormwater run-off from the Aquadene Phase 2 Development, namely: `Aquadene Phase 2 Development: Bulk Stormwater. Northern Outfall Drainage Channel (1,860m) The proposed bulk stormwater system is situated within suburb of Aquadene in Richards Bay, uMhlathuze Local Municipality within the King Cetshwayo District Municipality, KwaZulu-Natal Province.
