Battle of the Richards Bay beauties

ASPIRING beauty queens battled it out at the Miss Mzingazi 2018 auditions at Macusini Place in Mzingazi outside Richards Bay on Saturday.

With hopes of claiming the crown at next month’s pageant, 33 beauties left their hearts and soul on the runway to impress the panel of judges.

Entertaining the crowd is Wiseman Cele of hip hop group Hiltaterz

This special community event was spearheaded by local beauty Sthulile Mtshali.

Judging panel – Nokukhanya Sibiya, Chris Mkhize, Nicole Steinberg, Saam Nzuza, Sthulile Mtshali (event organiser), Wellington Makwakwa and Patrica Olivier

Only 20 contestants made it through to the finals.

The shindig was also packed with entertainment, from dance groups to kwaito and hip hop crews, poets and comedians.

The Miss Mzingazi 2018 pageant will be held at Mzingazi Community Hall on Saturday, 7 April.
