PHUMLANI Khumalo (19) was on Tuesday sentenced to five years imprisonment after he was found guilty on two counts of robbery.
On New Year’s Eve last year Khumalo robbed Huletts Convenient Store in Empangeni after holding up the shop teller with a toy gun and making off with R1 500 in cash.
He robbed the Convenient Store again in January this year, making off with the till, but the shop teller recognised him and alerted bystanders after he fled the scene.
