Grantleigh athletes awarded for sports achievements

Chené van Wyk bagged the Sportswoman of the Year award

AFTER a standout year on the sporting fields across all sporting codes, athletes were rewarded and acknowledged for their achievements at the recent Grantleigh College 2017 Sport Awards ceremony.

Deputy Headgirl Danielle van Onselen was named girls Cricket and Hockey Player of the Year, with Deputy Headboy Günther Kelling bagging the boys Cricket Player of the Year, Hockey Players’ Player of the Year and the coveted Sportsman of the Year awards.

All-rounder Carmen Singery was awarded the Service to the School Through Sport Award, with Chené van Wyk taking home the Sportswoman of the Year award.
