The movie

The film is a dark comedy drama and the incredible cinematography beautifully captures the Zululand countryside, all accompanied by a gritty electric blues soundtrack.

The character in Killing Floor is a writer, Melvin Poon who has not been successful in getting his work published.

He is also in the process of losing his inheritance.

All that changes when he receives a call from Randall Harris, a respected English literary agent who is flying out from London to sign Melvin.

They set up a meeting, but Randall never shows up, he has gone missing.
And so, terrified that he will miss out on his one chance to ever get published, Melvin sets out on a

Don Quixote-esque mission to find the missing publisher himself.

There will be two screenings of the Killing Floor on Saturday, 15 July at 6pm at Ster-Kinekor Gateway Commercial 2 (in the Gateway Theatre of Shopping) and again on Wednesday, 19 July at 8pm at Ster-Kinekor, Musgrave Centre, Musgrave and tickets cost R60 per person.
