Mini cricket action at the Veldenvlei sport fields

THE Veldenvlei sport fields were buzzing with cricket action on Saturday morning when local schools competed in the annual Veldenvlei Mini Cricket Festival.

Players aged U7 to U9 played two games on the day. Each team comprised of eight players that bat and bowl six balls.

The next tournament will be on Saturday, when local teams compete at the KFC Mini Cricket Festival at the uMhlathuze Regional Sports Complex. (8am to noon).
