About Zululand Observer

Proudly professional: Born and bred in Zululand
Founded in 1969 by Mrs Regina Anthony, the Zululand Observer is the largest newspaper publishing house in its area of distribution in KZN from the Tugela River to Pongola, and inland covering Ulundi, eShowe, Melmoth, Nongoma and Hlabisa. Initially established in Empangeni, it has grown to a stable of proudly professional award-winning products. The eight audited publications include the Zululand Observer Weekend edition, Zululand Observer Monday edition, Bay Watch Eyethu, Zululand Eyethu, Northern Eyethu, Eastern Watch, and Agri Eco. To meet its growing printing demands the Zululand Observer invested in Darwain Printing Works in 1996, which also caters for outside printing. True to its slogan of producing born and bred Zululand publications the Company has invested close on R20m in property in addition to the Darwain Printing Works, and prides itself in purchasing local at all times. About the Zululand Observer We’ve got you covered from every angle. Whether you need fair, relevant, interesting and comprehensive reading on what’s happening in the region’s various communities; Or a platform to advertise your company, service, legal notice or event, with deep reach into a well-researched public audience; Or free design from our talented graphics team; Or quality printing on site, coupled with excellent distribution of our eight audited publications to all urban and rural areas of the Zululand region. All this is backed by a long, proud, multi award-winning reputation and history that dates back to our founding in 1969. But we continue to be innovative and progressive, and offer every online and electronic platform needed in today’s news and advertising environment.
