Rachel and Marwick Rockefella prove unstoppable

Zululand Pony Clubs Rachel Mahiyamu and her trusty steed Marwick Rockefella

THE partnership and workmanship between Zululand Pony Club rider Rachel Mahiyamu and her horse Marwick Rockefella gelled like glue on paper, which resulted in a dominant performance at the recent Pony Club Inter Branch held at Galloping Winds in Ballito.

The duo managed to gallop into first place in the Children’s Dressage, Equitation, Show Jumping and Derby categories, as well as bag the Children’s Victrix Ludorum on the day after accumulating the most points for the entire show.

To top these achievements, Marwick Rockefella was awarded The Champion Horse award for the show.

Rachel was awarded her South African Pony Club full colours for equitation and show jumping, as well as her half colours for dressage.

Last month the unstoppable pair won the SANESA High School division at the 3 Phase Eventing show held at Dolcoed, just north of Howick whilst representing her school Felixton College.
