THE trial of six men accused of kidnapping and murdering Mboniseni Welcome Manyuka Gumede in 2015, has been postponed until October.

Phumlani Mthiyani, Kingdom Mthiyani, Bongani Mbuyazi, Nhlakanipho Zikhali, Sibusiso Mbuyazi and Mthandeni Mbuyazi appeared in the Mtunzini High Court for the murder trial which began in early March.

With 23 witnesses to give testimony, by the end of the three weeks set aside for the trial it still did not reach a conclusion.

Gumede was reported missing on 2 October 2015 and his body was recovered shortly thereafter.
