Little ones getting a kick out of sport

Mackennah Daniel (2) tries to bend it like Beckham

LOCAL children aged two to five years came out to the Richards Bay Baptist Church on Saturday morning to participate in the Little Kickers programme.

The international programme that started in England and currently runs in 16 countries, educates little kids through the means of sport.

Declan Barnes also acted as the cone collector

The soccer-based programme runs all year round and is active at the majority of nursery schools in Richards Bay and Empangeni.

The motto followed is ‘Play not push’ and is focused on improving motor skills, creative development, listening and understanding.
